Congratulations to Chad Howey, Samantha Tillman, James Strickland
& David Bullard for becoming the newest full-time employees of the Morehead City Fire Department. Mr.
Howey is a graduate of the very first Crystal Coast Fire Academy and was given the Leadership & Excellence Award.
We wish all of the new members much success in their endeavors. Please submit any photos and videos that are to be considered for inclusion into the annual Christmas party video
to Chris Brock asap. The Christmas party is scheduled for December the 1st and video production is currently underway.

MOREHEAD CITY - Morehead City Fire-EMS responded
to a well involved structure fire on August 27, 2008 at 16:30 hours. Engine 1 and Engine 2 were first in and made an initial
attack with Atlantic Beach Fire Department providing mutual aid. The Morehead Arson Investigation Team was called in
to determine cause and origin and remained on scene until 19:30 hrs. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
